[5/1/1990] Raymond P. Fairbanks
A graveside committal service for Raymond P. Fairbanks, 89, formerly of Springfield, who died Sunday morning at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield. The Rev. Charles G. Campbell, pastor of the First Congregational Church will officiate.
He was born Aug. 11, 1900 in Bartonsville, son of George and Allie (Parker) Fairbanks.
He attended schools in Springfield and graduated from the Co-Op Machine Course at Jones and Lamson. For many years he was employed at Fellows Gear Shaper Co.
He was a member of St. John Lodge 41, F&AM.
Mr. Fairbanks was an avid sportsman, and most recnetly [sic] made his home in the Rutland area.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (McAllister) Fairbanks.
Survivors include a sister, Lucretia F. Cheever of Rutland, and a cousin, Lawrence Angell of Rockingham.
There will be no visiting hours.
