Stellafane WebCams

These pages provide access to several webcams we have installed at Stellafane East, on Breezy Hill in Springfield, Vermont. You can use them to check conditions at the site, or just see what may be going on (usually, not much). Please be patient, it can take a while for the images to download.

Of course, you won't see much at night, Stellafane is a dark place then.

2009-Dec-12: Three Webcams are back online. We have decided to change the McGregor Telescope Room Camera to be the McGregor Driveway Camera instead, which is more useful to us to check snow depth and plowing status. The Flanders Pavilion camera is not online, we need some new hardware for it, and probably won't get any until the spring...Webmaster Ken

Not Working For You? Please understand that we have frequent power failures, especially in the winter, and our webcam server and/or DSL link goes down more than we might like. If that happens, you may not get any images, and it may take several days before someone can get on site and repair the problem. Therefore these pages are offered "as is", and if it doesn't work, check back in an hour to a week, we will get to fixing it as time permits.

AOL Users: We have reports that this does not work for you. These pages use both Java Applets and non-standard ports (81 thru 83), and it appears AOL does not allow this. Sorry.

Corporate Firewall Users: You may have problems if your firewall does not allow traffic on non-standard ports (other than port 80). There is nothing we can do about this, you will have to use a more liberal connection to look at Stellafane (even the Stellafane webmaster suffered from this problem!).
