Jeremy & Isaac are done!
Session 0 is a special pre-class for returning students to give them a chance to pick up where they left off last year, and in some cases to finish up. And that is just what the father-son team of Jeremy & Isaac did, putting the final figure on their very well done mirror.

Making a Lap
Jay helped Rick make a lap for his mirror using a lap mold in the bunkhouse kitchen.

Press the Edge Sometimes the mold pulls facets on the edge away from the tool; here they are being pushed back down before trimming back to make it round.

Cool Stuff
Some other cool things went on this day. Tommy G made some tube out of PVC pipe to illustrate the field of view of different focal ratios, and Wayne worked with the grinding machine.

Alien Instructor? No, it's just Dave T using the field of view tubes. Most people only look through one tube at a time, but Dave T is extra-special talented and can use two at once!
