Here are photos of the 2009 Convention by the Springfield Telescope Makers and
convention attendees. We appreciate receiving photos and reports from attendees and will publish them on these
web pages; please
(and any suggestions you may have for improving the convention, or topics you would like to see covered in next
year's convention).
So whether you attended and want to try to find yourself in photo, or you couldn't
attend and want to see what went on, you can spend so time browsing our gallery of general photos below.

PRE-CONVENTION: A lot goes on in the week before convention, which we call pre-convention,
and this year we are again going to share some photos of some of the activities the occur before most of
your arrive. Club members a dedicated group of volunteers get a lot of work done before we open on Thursday
afternoon.
Painting: This year VP Gary Cislak lead the effort to repaint the entire clubhouse,
and it came out great! We also touched up other areas that needed painting, including the McGregor
observatory. The first photo is the 'before' picture of the clubhouse, very faded.

Meeting: Thursday evening we have dinner and a
club meeting at the clubhouse along with our pre-convention volunteers. This year, Al Nagler brought
along a prototype of the 21mm Ethos eyepiece, and several club members got to try it in their own
scopes!
